Welcome to Olive Preston

The Olive School, Preston, aims to deliver an outstanding quality of primary provision. By promoting our STAR values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect, we strive to create an enriching environment where our pupils are safe, happy and well, and where every child is supported and encouraged to shine.

We cherish our pupils as individuals and, through nurturing today’s young people and inspiring tomorrow’s leaders, we provide them with a wealth of educational and character-building opportunities, allowing them to explore and develop their natural gifts and talents.

The Olive School, Preston opened in September 2016. It opened with two year groups, Reception and Year 1. The Olive School, currently has two classes in EYFS, two classes in Year 1, two classes in Year 2, two classes in Year 3 and two classes in Year 4. We currently have 300 pupils on roll, 60 pupils in EYFS, 60 pupils in Year 1, 60 pupils in Year 2, 60 pupils in Year 3 and 60 pupils in Year 4.

The names of the classes are as follows. In EYFS we have Ibn Zubayr and Bint Muhammad. In Year 1 we have Ibn Salaamah and Bint Qays. In Year 2 we have Ibn Abbas and Bint Abee Bakar. In Year 3 we have Ibn Malik and Ibn Alee. In Year 4 we have Ibn Jabal and Al-Farsi.  The Olive School Preston is currently located at London House, which is adjacent to Eden Boys School. The school moved into London House on Monday 27th March 2017.

The first year was a very successful year with 93% of EYFS pupils achieving a Good Level of Development and 100% of Year 1 pupils passing the Phonics Screening Test. The foundations from the initial set up year will help move the school progress even further in the future.
