Pupils and staff celebrate opening of permanent school site

Pupils and staff at The Olive School, Preston are celebrating the start of a new era after moving into their new, permanent school site.

The move comes after years of planning and construction to build a brand new, state-of-the-art school was completed this month. The new building will ensure pupils have access to excellent facilities to support their education and growth.

The new school, which is located on Vicarage Lane in Fulwood, will provide its young pupils with access to increased space, modern classrooms, and a large multi-use hall.  Pupils will also benefit from excellent outdoor facilities including a large playground, a sports field, a gardening area and peace garden.

Thanks to a new school kitchen, the school will be able to provide on site catering for pupils and staff for the very first time.

Parveen Yusuf, Principal at The Olive School, Preston, said that pupils, parents and staff were thrilled with the new school site and facilities.

She said: “This new school site marks a new era for our school community at The Olive School, Preston.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to provide these excellent facilities to ensure that pupils receive a high-quality education.

“We have all been so excited by the new building and particularly look forward to working in an environment so conducive to learning.”
